It's great to see you finally doing some more worldbuilding with Momoo's universe! I've always been eager to see more about the world she lived in, and now we've finally got the basics down. And we finally see the gentlemen, too-- gotta say, they're pretty dashing!
Her species is simple, but I like it! There's clearly a lot of cow here, but you've mixed in a lot of other traits that give it the sense of uniqueness. For some reason I've always liked the leg design, and how it gives them a sort of grace! They're definitely more graceful than a cow haha. Are Cangurmookas good at kicking? And how fast can they run?
There's a lot of emphasis on their sexuality and reproduction, which I like because childbirth and family are one of the pillars of their culture. We just don't have a lot of species here that are highly sexual... without being fetishized. I hope that makes sense! I like how you handled Momoo and her culture, and I hope you someday make a cultural guide for other people to see!
I do have some critiques for you. First off, since this is a general species ref I would have included a little bit about their behavior. Are the males aggressive? Do they have any unique habits, instincts, and urges? Tell us a little bit about how they act! I would have also colored some images, to show us what colors they can be. I'd love to know how their markings work. Next, while the currency is an awesome section I would have saved it for a cultural infosheet. (On the topic of their currency, I LOVE that idea. Their money is so intricate! I bet they take great pride in craftsmanship.)
Overall, excellent job on this ref, Allaze. It's great to finally read some more on the Cagurmooka, and I'm excited to see what else you do in the future! Remember that if you ever need any help or ideas, I'm always here for ya. I'm always eager to help newer worldbuilders out.
Hehe me too, i'm looking forward to create an universe with momoo, I figured that I need to redesign her for to fit the world where she live heheee. And yes, it's about time to show the male version of momoo! (mainly as an example for reference sheet) XD
hahaha that is certainly because I use kangaroo legs as reference as the specie name suggested! XD How good at kicking ? Good question! I need to get some idea for it, other than kicking, they can run fast on four legs but they easily get tired from running because they're lack of endurance... how fast they're ? I don't know yet, you can toss me some suggestion hehe.
Humm you actually gave me a new direction for cultural part, I think it will be very interesting to explore that part heh. Also, I do know one other specie in our realm : Bonobos which their culture are based on sexual social... By the way, i will make sure to add a dedicated section about their culture!
Ah! Thank you for pointing it out ! I will try to add a decicated pages about their behaviors, for about the colors, it's planned, I need first to add all the pages on the various subjects first before to add a page about colors, by the way, it's in the to-do list. For about currency, i have to think outside of the box for finally managed to get that kind of design ! XD And don't worry about that, it's also part of cultural section, all I need is to find idea for the culture XD;
Thank you! If you're so willing to help me to work on the worldbuilding, you're welcome! at the moment, I'm been writting an e-book about momoo story as novel, but I'm seriously STUCK! XD Have you heard of Ywritter? it's an awesome piece of software that will help you to organize your novel! feel free to contact me from Skype or note by the way X3
But hey Alleze, you're very welcome! Momoo has always been one of my favorite characters, and it's been a pleasure seeing the world around her develop. If you're stuck on writing her novel, then I would simply put it aside for now because usually the best ideas are "aha moments". In worldbuilding and writing both it's best to take things one step at a time. Don't rush yourself! It'll all come to you eventually.
Aaah so you're going to simply edit and add to this sheet, then? Interesting! I hope you have multiple sections on their culture, then, so we can learn a bit more. Very excited to see it! You're doing a good job, yes yes.
40 mph/h (65km/h) sounds like a good running speed for the bulls, maybe a bit less for the ladies. That's a little bit slower than a kangaroo, ahaha.
I've never heard of Ywriter, but it looks interesting! How does it work, and what are its features? I'm always eager to try out some new writing tools!
Indeed, that is what I do at the moment, my main priority is to finish the reference sheet so...
Yes that is what I do for the reference sheet, did you noticed that ref have multiple version ? at the moment, I'm on the v.0.5 which it will soon have some new stuff
that sound good ! I will try to explore a bit more about it later.
That software was created by a novelist who did wrote his many novels on Spacejock, you can find the official site of that software : www.spacejock.com/yWriter5.htm… the awesome thing is that is totally free!
Thanks for the link, I'll have to give this program a looksie once I get my writing game back on. I write with simple documents (Kingsoft Writer) and keep track of scripts/stats/notes using a spreadsheet (Kingsoft Spreadsheet), which works perfect for me. But I'm always eager for more tools! You never know when something'll come along and really... HELP, eh? Haha.
I see, the ywritter is more complete compared to other software I wish the spreedsheet have the tree node system like this pic as example : i.stack.imgur.com/ng2Og.png I always like testing new software when I can For example www.paintstormstudio.com/ that I plan to test it out in some days
